My Yorkie is 14 years old with arthritis. She HATES anything I put on her, but I noticed she was able to walk better in the snow once she stopped being overly dramatic. The snow didn’t seep through even after being outside for 10-20 min. If it isn’t tightened enough, it does slip off. Obviously doesn’t need to be super tight to cut off circulation, but just enough to prevent slipping off. Again she’s dramatic so I’d have a little bit of resistance getting them on her. I believe I bought the next size up from what is recommended.
