It’s silent you have two options if you screw mount it down horizontal or vertical either way it’s extremely silent.Runs my 150 turtle palidadarium two sponger filters with a 40 gallon sump I just wanted extra circulation this provided it I run 4 20 gallon breeding setups right near it. Amazing results

I bought it for hobby use, not for a fish tank. I attached a longer, single piece of poly tubing to the pump and use it on my band saw for blowing saw dust off of my parts during cutting. It works great. The pump does not put out high pressure. It’s not build for that. It does produce continuous, uninterrupted flow.The pump has an serviceable air filter to prevent debris from entering the pump, rubber feet to dissipate vibration and fins on the frame to keep the pump cool.

I’m using this for my DWC system and using 4 valves currently. Works great and my plants are thriving. It does get a little hot and vibrates a decent amount, but I took a suggestion from another review and hung it up. I would recommend.

Well she’s a hummer alright, but it’s not as annoying as I expected, especially when weighed against what a tiny little powerhouse it is! I have the 1000gph and it’s HALF the size of the big Tetra Whisper with easily 5X the power. (One pump to rule them all! ✊?) I will be putting a hose and a breather filter on the intake, as one review claims it helps with sound-dampening. I’ll also put it in a box covered with closed-cell foam padding. I can run one of the air lines into the box, making it self-cooled. Honestly though, I’m in no hurry. It’s really not all that loud. (It’s in a tank stand/cabinet with closed doors, which helps.)READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. It has an intake filter you must clean regularly. I bet some bad reviews are from people who didn’t bother to read that. (Adding a breather filter should mean less cleaning maintenance ?)

A flexible connector hose fit the tube leading to my diode laser engraver’s push-to-connect air module. Overall, the noise level is moderate, about the same as a pump half its power. I set my unit on a 2 inch thick slab of silicone to create a jiggly anti-vibration pad that works awesomely to quiet the motor. Air is essential for laser and this works great!Super happy with the value. Smaller than expected, compact but powerful!

Got it as a makeshift air-assist for my 10 watt diode laser. Blasts air at somewhere around 8-12 hz, makes a notable difference in the quality of my cut.It is noisy, and has no built in off-switch, but I’m only really using it in half hour bursts two to three times a week. I hook it up to a normal surge protector and use that to turn it off and on without having to unplug it. I have no clue if it’s good for fish, but these laser cuts are deeper and cleaner with this thing on.
