I ordered these for our dog bc we live in the snowbelt, and even though we keep him off the streets, the salt mixes with snow and burns his paw pads. We combat this by cleaning them any time he comes back inside, and using a little paw pad balm. We figured these would be good for putting on his feet after we put the balm on, so the balm didn’t get on the floor, he didn’t have to walk around with cold, sticky paws. The floor around our entry door and kitchen get wet and muddy from the snow and work boots too, so ideally these will protect him from anything tracked in there.These look like the doggie version of hospital socks- they’re mid weight knit socks with little rubber grips on the bottom for traction. They have little canvas velcro straps that helps keep the socks in place. I was a little worried about the size- I have a big Cane Corso/Bull Mastiff mix, so his paws are huge. These actually fit pretty well though. A bit difficult to get past the dew claws, and of course, your dog rarely helps you put them on, but not at all difficult once you’ve done it a few times.I can’t say they stay up super well. The velcro straps help, but my guy is also not crazy about this newfangled idea on his feet, and still paws, rubs, slides, and chews them off most of the time. I just toss them in the wash and start over the next day; hopefully he’ll get used to them and life will get easier.As far as durability… So far, surprisingly good. My dog’s claws are like talons, so anything fabric is at risk around him, but no snags so far. I don’t think these will fit a small dog, they’ll probably be too loose to stay on. They say indoor/outdoor use, and I guess you could, but it probably depends on your dog and terrain. They’re really just socks, so unless you’re protecting them from hot pavement, they’re going to get wet and make your dog’s paws even colder; they’re definitely not built for any outdoors except grass, sidewalk, and pavement. For indoors they’re great though, especially if you have slippery wood or vinyl flooring.

I like that these have the velcro to keep them on the foot. It’s easy to put them on and wrap the velcro to make them stay. They grip well, but they’re not waterproof, so they’re only going to keep doggy feet clean from dry surfaces outside, or provide more stability to the dog on hardwood floors inside. We ordered a size large for our Bernese, but they were a bit too big. The dog doesn’t seem to mind them so I’m going to guess they’re comfortable enough. We do go through several sets of these in a month because even tho the dog’s nails are a proper length, they get holes quickly with daily use. I haven’t found a sock yet that doesn’t happen with though.
